Leader of programs and projects dealing with cross-cultural issues, chronic diseases, substance abuse treatment/prevention, low-literacy, and adult education. Expertise in strategic planning, employee training, and community development.

Recognized by the Ludwig Boltzmann-Institute, University of Vienna , Austria , for her innovative work Teach-With-Stories Method ™ as an international ‘best practice' model. In 2004-2005, the Center for Health Care Strategies selected the Teach-With-Stories Method ™ as a national demonstration project to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate prenatal education for high-risk, pregnant Hispanic women.
